Syllabus Template

Teachers,

For the 2008-2009 school year, everyone will need a course syllabus for every course that you teach.  However, we will not begin the planning of the actual syllabus until faculty orientation.  You can begin the imput of some information listed on the syllabus without creating the schedule for which you will present lessons.

Some departments do not have to create a total syllabus from scratch because the district has already created one for you.  The following address can be used to find the district curriculum guides for all discipline.  Warning: not all subject areas have syllabi, but they have curriculum guides.  Some of these curriculum guides are hard copies, and we will not be able to give them to you until the faculty orientation.  The address is the following:Curriculum guides.  As a matter of fact, the only departments that have curriculum guides online are language arts, mathematics, and world languages.

Here is a copy of the new syllabus template and the department grade distribution sheet.  You must utilize the grade distributions with no changes: No Exceptions.  If you need any assistance, please email me as soon as possible.  DO NOT CHANGE THE SOUTHWIND HIGH SCHOOL LOGO; DO NOT CHANGE THE ORDER OF ANY SECTIONS OF THE DOCUMENT! Please enter the necessary wording for your classes.
